Location: Virtual Room 3
This workshop aims to present European Union (EU) funding opportunities for first-class, up-and-coming researchers of any nationality, to advance their careers in Europe. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) provide grants to support the international and inter-sectoral mobility of promising doctoral and post-doctoral researchers. The European Research Council (ERC) focuses on grants for excellent individuals, be they newly independent or established. Experts from the MSCA and ERC will walk the audience through what these programmes are all about: not only funding opportunities, but tools for development and mobility, notably between academia and industry. We will hear from people who have already benefitted from these programmes and answer questions about how to navigate these opportunities:
What research do MSCA and ERC grants cover?
What are their selection criteria?
What opportunities are there to move between academia and industry?
How does the application process work?
What competences are important to employers?
What training resources can researchers access?
