Dr. Jennifer Willet is an artist, a Canada Research Chair in Art, Science, and Ecology, a Professor in the School of Creative Arts at the University of Windsor and the Director of INCUBATOR Art Lab. She is a member of the College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists in the Royal Society of Canada. Willet is a leader in the Canadian bioart community, and works internationally as an artist and curator in the field. In 2018, Willet opened a new state-of-the-art BSL2 bioart laboratory, and in 2020 a storefront bioart studio and community engagement lab in downtown Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Jennifer Willet will be present at the Keynote : “This is Bioart’s Moment! Pandemic reflections on radical interdisciplinarity in the Arts and Sciences” on friday the 15th of July from 14:15 to 15:15

The conference will be online and in Stadsgehoorzaal.

ESOF – EuroScience Open Forum – founded in 2004 by EuroScience, the European Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology; is the biennial pan-European convention dedicated to research and innovation.

At ESOF, leading scientists, researchers, young researchers, business people, entrepreneurs and innovators, policy makers, science and technology communicators and the general public from all over Europe discuss new discoveries and debate the direction that research is taking in the sciences, humanities and social sciences.
