Leiden University of applied sciences

University of Applied Sciences (UAS) Leiden was founded in 1986 and is situated at the heart of Leiden Bio Science Park. We offer our more than 13.000 students freedom of choice and challenge them to realise their full potential. This way, they can acquire all the knowledge and skills they need for their future careers.

UAS Leiden currently offers more than twenty Bachelor’s programs and two Master’s programs in the areas of Health, Education, Social Work and Applied Psychology, Management and Business, Education, and Technology. We have been carrying out international projects for close to 30 years, focusing mainly on development cooperation. These projects aim to build capacity in education institutions in developing countries.

Our Lectorates and researchers are mainly active in the fields of Health, Life Sciences and Sustainability.

ESOF IN A NUTSHELL

ESOF – EuroScience Open Forum – founded in 2004 by EuroScience, the European Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology; is the biennial pan-European convention dedicated to research and innovation.

At ESOF, leading scientists, researchers, young researchers, business people, entrepreneurs and innovators, policy makers, science and technology communicators and the general public from all over Europe discuss new discoveries and debate the direction that research is taking in the sciences, humanities and social sciences.

This project is co-funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe Work Programme – project European City of Science and EuroScience Open Forum Leiden 2022 (Project number 101052247) and is coordinated by Stichting Leiden European City of Science 2022 (Leiden2022).
