Biography Rongping Mu

Mu Rongping, received his B.S. and M.S. from University of Science and Technology of China, Ph.D from Technische Universität Berlin, Germany. Mu is Professor of CAS Institute of Science and Development (formal CAS Institute of Policy and Management, CASIPM), Director of CAS Center for Innovation and Development, editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Science Research Management, President of the China High-tech Industry Promotion Society and the Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy Research. He was Director-General of CASIPM (2004-2014). Mu has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and several books concerning Technology Transfer, Technology Foresight, and Innovation Development, and Industrial Competitiveness.

ESOF – EuroScience Open Forum – founded in 2004 by EuroScience, the European Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology; is the biennial pan-European convention dedicated to research and innovation.

At ESOF, leading scientists, researchers, young researchers, business people, entrepreneurs and innovators, policy makers, science and technology communicators and the general public from all over Europe discuss new discoveries and debate the direction that research is taking in the sciences, humanities and social sciences.

This project is co-funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe Work Programme – project European City of Science and EuroScience Open Forum Leiden 2022 (Project number 101052247) and is coordinated by Stichting Leiden European City of Science 2022 (Leiden2022).
