The EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) created by EuroScience in 2004, is the largest biennial interdisciplinary meeting on science and innovation in Europe, for and with society.
ESOF2022 Programme
ESOF2022 is a hybrid conference with many ways to participate. You can join us onsite, in the beautiful city of Leiden, and/or you can join online using our virtual conference platform and our mobile app. We acknowledge the growing global climate challenges and the need for change; therefore, this hybrid conference format is a key part of our strategy for building a sustainable future.

Discover the EU Pavilion and the European Talent Fair at ESOF2022!
From 13 to 16 July 2022, the European Union will be present at the ESOF2022 exhibition with a dedicated EU pavilion. The physical EU pavilion programme will mainly focus on EU Missions, a novelty of the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme bringing concrete solutions to some of our greatest challenges and on young academic careers.

Calling all Academic Institutions to Sponsor the Next Generation

ESOF2022 registration
The 10th edition of ESOF will take place this year, in the European City of Science 2022, Leiden, in the Netherlands from 13 July to 16 July 2022. To participate in ESOF2022, the delegates, youth/postdocs/students can choose between diverse registration formats and between onsite and online participation.

Leiden is a city in the Netherlands ideally situated between The Hague and Amsterdam and only 12 kilometres away from the Sea shore.
Everything that characterises Leiden’s Golden Age heritage survives to this day: the picturesque historic city centre still holds its landmarks from that time in the form of beautiful city mansions by age old canals.
Venues
ESOF2022 in Leiden will have several venues which will all welcome different elements of the conference programme. All the venues are located in the city center and are reachable in 5 minutes walking distance. The venues for this ESOF conference have a rich history like the Pieterskerk or the Stadsgehoorzaal.
