About ESOF

The EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) created by EuroScience in 2004, is the largest biennial interdisciplinary meeting on science and innovation in Europe, for and with society.

ESOF2022 Programme

ESOF2022 is a hybrid conference with many ways to participate. You can join us onsite, in the beautiful city of Leiden, and/or you can join online using our virtual conference platform and our mobile app. We acknowledge the growing global climate challenges and the need for change; therefore, this hybrid conference format is a key part of our strategy for building a sustainable future.

Discover the city of Leiden

Leiden is a city in the Netherlands ideally situated between The Hague and Amsterdam and only 12 kilometres away from the Sea shore.

Everything that characterises Leiden’s Golden Age heritage survives to this day: the picturesque historic city centre still holds its landmarks from that time in the form of beautiful city mansions by age old canals.

ESOF2022 in Leiden had several venues which all welcomed different elements of the conference programme. All the venues were located in the city center and were reachable in 5 minutes walking distance. The venues for this ESOF conference had a rich history like the Pieterskerk or the Stadsgehoorzaal.
